- Why is the tourist tax not included in the Airbnb price?
To this date, the municipality of Cascais has not come to an agreement with Airbnb on direct tourist tax collection. Recently the city of Lisbon and Airbnb integrated. The hope is that they will soon do the same in Cascais, as it’s not fun for hosts to deal with this. The Cascais directive is that the tourist tax be paid to hosts ONLY after arrival and BEFORE checkout. They also require hosts to issue museum passes. - Can I drop my bags before check-in time?
Yes, bag drop-off available from 11 AM. We guarantee that your apartment will be ready by 3 PM, but if apartment is available earlier, you can check-in early. Self-check-in is facilitated with a code and detailed instructions provided.
When is checkout time?
Check-out at 11 AM normally, with option to leave you bags until 2:30 PM (ask if you need more).What do I have to do for checkout?
We don’t give you a list of things to do before checking out.- Do you provide beach towels? Toys? Umbrella?
Yes, yes, and yes!
We provide beach towels, normal towels, beach umbrella and beach toys. - We provide all the bathroom basics, including hair dryer.
- All bedrooms and living rooms have air conditioner/heating with a modern multi-split system.

Do you offer/recommend drivers for pickup?
We do not offer nor recommend drivers or pick up services. We recommend you use Uber or Bolt (usually cheaper than Uber). We also do not recommend you take public transportation from the Lisbon airport. It’s just not practical when Uber and Bolt will cost you only a bit more. - How do I get to/from Porto?
We love the train, but it only goes to Lisbon, and then you will likely wind up taking a 35/40 minute Uber/Bolt. Consider Flexbus from Cascais (Alcabideche which is not in the center of Cascais, but only 12 minutes by car).
